LJUBLJANA, Jan 24 (Hina) - Contrary to some announcements, the Slovene government on Thursday decided against implementing drastic counter-measures against Croatian hauliers but will continue to monitor the situation regarding the
transport of Slovene oil and oil products to Bosnia-Herzegovina and other countries of South Eastern Europe. The state under-secretary at the Foreign Ministry, Iztok Simoniti, said Slovenia's reactions would depend on the developments but stressed that the measures Lubljana had undertaken thus far by internationalising the issue were very serious. Government representatives have not made official statements on a new oil transit decree proposed by the Croatian government today, but the media assess its regulations are very restrictive due to corridors and the strict monitoring of vehicles carrying oil.(hina) np
