ZAGREB, Dec 25 (Hina) - The Archbishop of Zagreb, Cardinal Josip Bozanic, led Christmas Day Mass at Zagreb Cathedral on Thursday, saying he was thinking of "all poor people, all those have been left without home, food and the love of their loved ones, those who are sick and searching for the meaning of life, those who do not know how to seek safety and protection, and those who are afraid of the future."#L# In his sermon, the archbishop appealed to the faithful to pay attention to "a growing number of those among us who live in poverty and suffering that affect individuals, families and groups not just in this city but throughout the country." "Here I have in mind families whose mothers are forced to work on Sundays and holidays, fathers without permanent employment and young people expecting work." Bozanic called on the congregation to pray for peace in the world, saying that "it is not enough just to talk about peace and it is not enough to condemn the uselessness and folly of wars as a way of settling disputes between nations." The Mass was also celebrated by auxiliary bishops Josip Mrzljak and Vlado Kosic, and some 30 other priests. Among the congregation were President of the Republic Stjepan Mesic and his wife, Culture Minister Bozo Biskupic and other officials. (Hina) vm
