Croatia said during their talks in the Kremlin on Monday that they were satisfied with the way in which relations between their countries were developing and expressed hope for increased economic cooperation. At the beginning of the talks, which were open to the press, Mesic said there were no unresolved political issues between Croatia and Russia, and that the two countries had nearly identical views on most issues relating to Europe and the world. Mesic put forward a proposal for Russia to be a partner country at next year's international trade fair in Zagreb to further strengthen economic ties.
