ZAGREB, Dec 15 (Hina) - Croatia's power supply company HEP has had a hard but successful 2003, being the biggest domestic investor of the year, CEO Ivo Covic said at a Christmas reception for business partners on Monday.

Despite very adverse weather, HEP has remained a stable power
supplier and has also realised a series of important new projects,
investing about two billion kuna (EUR259.7 million) in the process
and becoming the biggest investor in Croatia this year, said
Covic.
Besides investing, HEP has also undergone internal restructuring,
which Covic said enabled carrying out a power supply reform whose
objectives include competition and breaking up the monopoly in the
supply system.
