ZAGREB, Dec 14 (Hina) - An exhibition of works and documents about the life of a sculptor, Slavko Bril, was opened on Sunday in the 'Milan and Ivo Steiner' gallery within the Jewish Community in Zagreb.

the life of a sculptor, Slavko Bril, was opened on Sunday in the
'Milan and Ivo Steiner' gallery within the Jewish Community in

Slavko Bril was born in 1900 in the town of Nova Gradiska (some 120
kilometres east of Zagreb), and died in the concentration camp's
infirmary in Nova Gradiska either in 1943 or 1944 (there was no
record on the exact date of his death).
He graduated at Zagreb's School of Arts in 1926. His mentor was
famous Croatian sculptor, Ivan Mestrovic. Bril displayed his works
at over 10 exhibition during his life.
The exhibition in Zagreb will be open until 15 January 2004.
