Strugar will be put on trial for crimes committed in the area of
Dubrovnik, Croatia, in 1991.
Strugar was supposed to travel to the Netherlands nearly two weeks
ago but kept postponing allegedly due to medical treatment, which
is why the trial, which was to start this Wednesday, has been
postponed.
He surrendered to the U.N. tribunal in November 2001 and was
released pending trial that December 1, after the then Yugoslav and
Montenegrin governments offered guarantees that he would go back
once summonsed.
The pre-trial conference in the case will take place on Monday
afternoon, the ICTY said.
