According to the conclusions, the priorities also include a conference on adjusting the organisation of local self-government bodies in South-Eastern European countries to European Union standards in view of relevant membership criteria. Participants in the event reached agreement on the need to continue the campaign of liberalisation of regional visa regimes, which started last year, and to intensify the involvement of local bodies of authority and business people. The Citizens' Pact for South-Eastern Europe was established in 2000 following the signing of the Stability Pact for South-Eastern Europe. Today, the organisation gathers 20 municipalities and 89 NGOs from Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia, Moldavia, Romania and Serbia and Montenegro. (hina) rml
