Pope Pius IX issued a bull on December 11, 1852 declaring the Zagreb
diocese an archdiocese and naming Bishop Juraj Haulik archbishop of
Zagreb.
The symposium was organised by the Zagreb Archdiocese, the Faculty
of Theology in Zagreb, and the "Tkalcic" Society for the History of
the Zagreb Archdiocese.
