According to unofficial sources, non-binding offers have been
submitted by Slovenia's Delo, Austria's Styria, and entrepreneur
Josip Radeljak's company Slobodni mediji. They expressed their
interest in Slobodna Dalmacija in January.
The other offers come from Rijeka's Novi list, Zagreb's Europapress
Holding, Interconsulting -- a company believed to have submitted
the offer on someone else's behalf, Pojata -- a consortium
comprised of Kerum, SEM Marina, Orbico, Adriacink, and Hypo Alpe-
Adria Bank, and ACI Group -- the Cleveland-based American Croatian
Investment Group.
Under a government decision from October, Slobodna Dalmacija
should be privatised by making the company keep 25 percent of stock
so that it could be transferred free of charge to
workers/shareholders, while five percent would be retained in the
Croatian Privatisation Fund until further notice.
