ZAGREB, Dec 3 (Hina) - Croatian President Stjepan Mesic said on Wednesday he would nominate the premier-designate to form the new government most probably on Monday. He said that he believed the information about Ivo Sanader enjoying
the support of a sufficient number of parliamentary deputies to form the new government was correct.

If no objections or complaints regarding the election result are
filed and there is no need for the Constitutional Court to
intervene, we can expect the parliament to convene and hold its
constituent session very soon, Mesic said. "By that time, I will
hold consultations on the forming of the government, and talk to the
parties so that I could nominate the premier-designate," Mesic told
reporters after the opening of a Eurocable Group factory in
Zagreb.
"Today we received the unofficial results of the recent
parliamentary election, and I can take official measures once I
receive the official results," Mesic said.
