ELECTORAL COMMISSION RELEASES ELECTION RESULTS AT 11:15 HOURS

ZAGREB, Nov 24 (Hina) - The State Electoral Commission released the latest preliminary results of parliamentary elections at 11:15 hours on Monday, which show that returns from almost all polling stations in ten constituencies have been processed. According to the results, the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) would have 62 seats in parliament (excluding diaspora votes), while the Social Democrats and their coalition partners, the Istrian Democratic Assembly, Libra and the Liberal Party, would have 43 seats.

According to the results, the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) would have 62 seats in parliament (excluding diaspora votes), while the Social Democrats and their coalition partners, the Istrian Democratic Assembly, Libra and the Liberal Party, would have 43 seats. #L# The Croatian People's Party (HNS), which in some constituencies formed a coalition with the Primorje-Gorski Kotar Alliance (PGS), would have 11 deputies, the Croatian Peasant Party (HSS) nine, the Croatian Party of Rights (HSP) and the Zagorje Democratic Party (ZDS) would have eight deputies together, while the Croatian Social Liberal Party and the Democratic Centre (HSLS-DC) together won three seats. The Croatian Party of Pensioners will enter the parliament for the first time with three deputies, which is the biggest surprise of yesterday's elections. The Croatian Democratic Peasant Party (HDSS), whose slate was headed by former independent MP Ivo Loncar, who was also the first candidate on the list, will also make it into parliament. According to the report, 74.54 percent of votes have been counted in constituency no. 11, where 43,194 voters went to the polls. The situation in this constituency has changed in relation to previous results, with the Croatian Bloc-Croatian True Revival (HB-HIP) coalition having passed the election threshold with 8.48 percent, as have the Independent Slate of Jerko Ivankovic Lijanovic with 8.20 percent and the Independent Slate of Ljubo Cesic, with seven percent of the vote. The HSLS-DC coalition and the HSS have not passed the election threshold. The HDZ has won the best results in this constituency, with 59.86 percent of the vote, which will bring it three mandates. In constituency no. 12, designed for ethnic minorities which elected eight deputies, the Serb minority, which has the right to three deputies, elected Vojislav Stanimirovic, Milorad Pupovac and Ratko Gajica of the Independent Democratic Serb Party (SDSS) to represent it in parliament, according to 99.90 percent of the processed returns. Serb deputies were elected by 47,896 of a total of 223,140 voters. The Hungarian minority will be represented by candidate Jene Adam, who won 42.01 percent of the vote. He was elected by 1,714 of 10,412 registered voters. The Italian minority will be represented by Furio Radin, who has won 79.83 percent of the vote or the votes of 4,669 of 6,136 voters who went to the polls. The total number of Italian minority voters was 12,557. The Czech and Slovak minorities will be represented by Zdenka Cuhnil, who won 39.23 percent of the vote or the votes of 1,277 of 3,477 registered voters. There were 7,423 eligible Czech and Slovak minority members. Nikola Mak will be the deputy of the Austrian, Bulgarian, German, Polish, Roma, Romanian, Ruthanian, Russian, Turkish, Ukrainian, Vlach and Jewish minorities, having won 14.3 percent of the vote or the votes of 265 of 2,213 voters who went to the polls. There were 8,961 eligible voters. Semso Tankovic will represent the Bosniak, Albanian, Montenegrin, Macedonian and Slovene minorities.
