DUBROVNIK, Nov 20 (Hina) - The leader of the Croatian Peasant Party (HSS), Zlatko Tomcic, has said that attempts are being made to divide the political scene in Croatia, with the help of some media, into the left and the right, which he believes poses a serious threat to Croatia's future. #L# "Croatia is again between two conflicted blocs, representatives of which have to know that there are no two Croatias, but only people who are wiser than the two extremist policies which are sweeping across the country these days," Tomcic said at an election rally in Dubrovnik on Thursday. He believes that these attempt are inflicting damage to the election campaign. There is an alternative to the two extremist policies, especially when it comes to the national economic policy, Tomcic said. Commenting on his party's election results, Tomcic said that the HSS would be satisfied if it won 15 percent of the vote, i.e. 20-25 parliamentary seats. It is already obvious that HSS representatives will decide if it will be possible to form the new government and its functioning. Anyone wishing to form a coalition government with us will have to accept our concept of integral economy, otherwise we will remain in the opposition, said Tomcic. He added that Croatia could enter a period of political instability after the elections. (hina) rml sb
