In a statement, the ministry recalled an agreement initialled by
the two countries' prime ministers in 2001, and added that Slovenia
still expected that conditions could be created for signing and
implementing it.
The ministry went on to say that the Croatian government's decision
of today had been adopted shortly before parliamentary elections.
The statement stressed that arbitration was a long-term process to
which Slovenia did not object if a bilateral agreement on
arbitration was reached.
