ZAGREB, Nov 13 (Hina) - Croatian Economy Minister Mato Crkvenac has said that of 505 million dollars which Hungary's MOL paid for one fourth of the stock of the Croatian national oil company, INA, 100 million will go into the central
government budget to cover the deficit, while 400 million will be spent to service debts in the country and abroad.
ZAGREB, Nov 13 (Hina) - Croatian Economy Minister Mato Crkvenac has
said that of 505 million dollars which Hungary's MOL paid for one
fourth of the stock of the Croatian national oil company, INA, 100
million will go into the central government budget to cover the
deficit, while 400 million will be spent to service debts in the
country and abroad. #L#
He went on to say that of the said 400 million, 300 million would be
used to cover loans and interest rates on the domestic market, while
100 million would be used for the payment of foreign debts.
Crkvenac gave this statement on Thursday to refute allegations that
the cash which the government secured from the privatisation of INA
would be wasted. He labelled the allegations as imputations against
the Ivica Racan cabinet.
