ZADAR ZADAR, Nov 11 (Hina) - The Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) held the central pre-election rally for constituency no. 9 in Zadar on Tuesday evening. All 14 candidates on the slate were presented, while the address was given by HDZ
leader Ivo Sanader.
ZADAR, Nov 11 (Hina) - The Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) held the
central pre-election rally for constituency no. 9 in Zadar on
Tuesday evening. All 14 candidates on the slate were presented,
while the address was given by HDZ leader Ivo Sanader. #L#
He said, among other things, that a dozen thousand people or more
had attended the HDZ rallies, including Zadar. He criticised state
radio for reporting about attendance only in the hundreds.
Sanader slammed the Ivica Racan cabinet, saying it had deceived
workers, war veterans, farmers, fishermen, and trade unions.
"Lacking arguments, Racan is accusing us of causing incidents."
According to Sanader, the Croatian Peasant Party too is responsible
for what he said was the disastrous societal situation. He also
blasted the Croatian People's Party's Public Works and
Reconstruction Minister Radimir Cacic.
Constituency no. 9 covers Zadar, Lika-Senj, and Sibenik-Knin
counties and the western part of Split-Dalmatia County.
