SPLIT/VARAZDIN, Nov 3 (Hina) - Retired colonel Mirko Condic, president of the national headquarters of Croatian war veterans, has joined the Croatian Bloc (HB) and will be on the party's roster in constituency no. 10, a member of the party's election headquarters in the constituency, Davor Pavic, said in Split on Monday. #L# The report was confirmed by Condic himself, who said he had joined the HB because he shared the party's position on the Homeland War, war veterans, cooperation with the UN war crimes tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, the church, family, Croats in Bosnia- Herzegovina, and problems that cause divisions among Croatian people. The HB follows the doctrine of the late Croatian president Franjo Tudjman, said Condic. The former member of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) said he had left the HDZ in July because of disagreement with the policy of its leadership. Condic is known in the public for his criticism of senior state officials and speeches at numerous rallies in support of Croatian army personnel accused of war crimes. The HB/Croatian True Revival (HIP) coalition today presented its candidates in Varazdin, where the roster is headed by HIP president Miroslav Tudjman. HB member Krunoslav Gasparic said the two parties, which would run in elections in all 11 constituencies, advocated the affirmation of fundamental values on which the modern Croatian state was based.
