The licence was revoked after it was found that "the Council
violated several provisions of both the old and the new
Telecommunications Act, which took effect on August 7 this year,"
the statement said.
The statement announced that the necessary rules for the allocation
of fixed telephony licences would be in place by the end of
November, and that the ministry would "provide the Divan firm with
all the necessary assistance to win in a legal way a licence to
provide telecommunications services."
