Party leader Zlatko Tomcic said the campaign would be affirmative
as "arrogant politicians cannot bring peace and stability to this
country".
Asked whether the plan to conduct an affirmative campaign meant
that the HSS would ignore possible attacks by other parties, Tomcic
said the party would not ignore them, but would find a way to respond
to them in a dignified manner.
Party officials today also presented their election video clip.
The party campaign will cost eight million kuna, of which 4.32
million will be provided by the state and the rest by donors.
Tomcic said his party's campaign was one of the cheapest as other
leading parties spent "five to ten times more money".
He said that the HSS had defined regulations about the financing of
the campaign, under which donations by physical persons can amount
to a maximum of 10,000 kuna and those by legal persons to a maximum
of 100,000 kuna.
Asked whether his party would make public the sources of financing
of the campaign, Tomcic said that donors could decide for
themselves if they wanted to make public or anonymous donations.
Tomcic believes his party would win 25-30 parliamentary seats in
the upcoming elections.
The party leadership will participate in 23 rallies during the
campaign trail, to start in Cakovec on November 6, and to end in
Krizevci on 21 November.
