The talks will take place two weeks after the presentation of
Croatia's second national programme for NATO membership, which was
received well by NATO.
In December this year Robertson will hand over his duties to Dutch
Foreign Minister Jaap de Hoop Scheffer. The Picula-Robertson
meeting will provide an opportunity to confirm the quality of the
three-year-long cooperation with Robertson, whose advice has been
invaluable, the statement reads.
On Wednesday Picula and leading Croatian business people will meet
European Commission officials and hold a presentation on Croatia's
economy. The visit is part of efforts to obtain from the EC a
positive answer to Croatia's membership application.
