The four men were arrested at the Bregana border crossing on October
20 in a vehicle with Swiss licence plates.
After they were taken into custody, police established that three
of the four men had tried to illegally cross the border at Macelj two
days ago. After the first arrest they were fined, but following the
second one they were banished from Croatia for a period of one year.
The driver has been taken to an investigating judge.
Police reported on Thursday that a man with a forged Croatian
passport was arrested aboard a bus at Bregana two days ago. It was
later established that he had purchased the passport from an
unidentified person in Belgrade for 1,500 euros. He has been taken
to an investigating judge.
