Del Ponte, who met British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw in London on
Monday, said indictments were being prepared and could be expected
to be issued before the end of 2004.
After their closed meeting, Straw said that Del Ponte and he had
discussed the necessity of Britain's continued pressure on all
countries covered by the ICTY with the aim of bringing all fugitives
before justice.
Describing the London talks as a regular working meeting, a
spokeswoman for the tribunal's prosecution, Florence Hartmann,
said that Del Ponte had received support from the British
government for her work.
In the British capital, the ICTY chief prosecutor confirmed that
the tribunal had issued indictments against four nationals of
Serbia-Montenegro. According to the Belgrade media, the indictees
