an official visit to Greece, where they were to travel today. The
burial will be coordinated by the office of the Bosniak member of
the state presidency, Sulejman Tihic.
On the day of burial, Izetbegovic will lie in state at the Bosnian
Presidency building, where a book of condolence will be opened. The
state presidency has also decided to open books of condolence in
diplomatic offices abroad.
Covic said that the state presidency did not make a decision to
declare a day of mourning in the country. "We didn't discuss it. We
didn't want to make a decision which would be impossible to
implement in one part of territory of Bosnia-Herzegovina," Covic
said alluding to the unwillingness of Bosnian Serbs to participate
in any way in paying tribute to the former Bosnian president.
