After the talks, Mesic said culture was important for the
strengthening of bilateral relations among countries. Relaying the
greetings from Iranian President Mohammad Khatami to Mesic, the
Iranian minister confirmed culture was an important factor of
understanding and cooperation among countries. He expressed wish
that an exhibition of the 7,000 year old Iranian culture be staged
in Croatia.
The Croatian President also received India's Minister of State for
Parliamentary Affairs, Tourism and Culture, Bhavna D. Chikhalia,
said the statement released by Mesic's Office.
