In his opening address, the Minister of Maritime Affairs, Transport
and Communications, Roland Zuvanic, said that Croatia would have
roads according to European standards by 2007.
The government's road construction programme is aimed at raising
road standards and accelerating road construction, the minister
said.
The results of the new policy on roads can best be seen this year
when 150 kilometres of highway have been built, he added.
