BELGRADE, Oct 4 (Hina) - Spokeswoman Florence Hartmann has said the
prosecutor's office of the Hague war crimes tribunal for the former
Yugoslavia will persevere in the case of Ante Gotovina since it has
information that the fugitive Croatian general is in Croatia,
Belgrade's Radio B92 said on Saturday. #L#
"We search for individual fugitives in a country based on data
pointing to that... We are going to Zagreb on Monday and will insist
regarding Gotovina with Croatian authorities because we have
information that he is there," she said.
"We talk about such information, seek that they be checked so we can
solve such problems," Hartmann said after yesterday's talks
between chief prosecutor Carla Del Ponte and Serbia-Montenegro
officials in Belgrade.
Hartmann said that while in Belgrade Del Ponte presented data
indicating that the Hague tribunal's Bosnian Serb indictee Ratko
Mladic was in Serbia.
Serbia's Prime Minister Zoran Zivkovic said there was a technical
obstacle to arresting Mladic since it was not certain that he was in
Serbia. He told Del Ponte there were no political obstacles to
arresting Mladic, according to Radio B92.
