BELGRADE, Oct 1 (Hina) - Police in Novi Sad, in the northern Serbian province of Vojvodina, stated on Wednesday that they arrested two minors "suspected of having toppled and damaged 80 tombstones at the Catholic cemetery in Novi Sad
in the night between 27 and 28 September", Belgrade media reported.
BELGRADE, Oct 1 (Hina) - Police in Novi Sad, in the northern Serbian
province of Vojvodina, stated on Wednesday that they arrested two
minors "suspected of having toppled and damaged 80 tombstones at
the Catholic cemetery in Novi Sad in the night between 27 and 28
September", Belgrade media reported. #L#
The head of the crime police, Bosko Arsenijevic, said that the
arrested were a boy and a girl, high school students from Novi Sad,
and that they damaged the tombstones under the influence of "a large
quantity of alcohol, without any political or religious motives".
The two admitted guilt, said Arsenijevic, and added that they would
be handed over to a court for juvenile delinquency and social
workers.
