At a ceremony held in a military barracks in Zagreb, the head of
state commended four (4) military policewomen and 40 military
policemen, who had been the members of the first Croatian platoon to
have taken part in the UN mission in that Asian country.
"You have carried out a task of which Croatia can be proud," Mesic
said adding that all were happy to see that no Croatian peace-keeper
had been wounded or killed.
Currently, the second Croatian contingent that recently replaced
the first one is taking part in the NATO-led ISAF mission in
Afghanistan.
