ZAGREB, Sept 30 (Hina) - The Croatian True Revival (HIP) and the Croatian Bloc (HB) held a press conference on Tuesday to present candidates of their coalition "For a Modern Croatia" for forthcoming parliamentary elections in all
constituencies.

candidates of their coalition "For a Modern Croatia" for
forthcoming parliamentary elections in all constituencies. #L#
HIP president Miroslav Tudjman will head the list in the first
constituency in Zagreb, while HB president Ivic Pasalic will top
the list in the tenth constituency, which covers the southern part
of Split and Dubrovnik County.
"Our coalition is seriously preparing for the elections and we
believe that we can win between 12 and 18 seats in parliament,"
Pasalic said.
Tudjman said that the fact that the exact date of elections had not
yet been set was "an indicator of social and political
instability".
This means that the present government is not ready for a democratic
handover of power, but is "resorting to political engineering to
stay in power as long as possible", he said.
