directors of diplomatic academies and institutes for international
relations started in Dubrovnik on Sunday. #L#
The meeting was opened by Deputy Foreign Minister Ivan Simonovic in
his capacity as an envoy of President Stjepan Mesic, who said that
its purpose was to promote values of professionalism in diplomacy.
The event brought together about 50 participants, who will discuss
new trends in the education of diplomatic and foreign service
staff.
The meeting, taking place in Croatia for the first time, will last
until September 30. It was organised by the Croatian Foreign
Ministry and the Diplomatic Academy from Vienna.
