at present he was not considering the possibility of postponing parliamentary elections scheduled for late November until the spring. Talking to reporters during a visit to Medjimurje County, Mesic said elections perhaps ought to be postponed if something happened which might affect the regular course of events, "something which might result in us getting at elections representatives who will not pass European-oriented laws". "From what we have seen so far it is evident that there are excesses and messages which are inappropriate for this time, but we have to focus on open issues and on teams which can solve them," Mesic said, adding that this was something those who wished to be elected should compete in.
