Nano pointed to the importance of joint defence initiatives in the
region for the countries' efforts to draw closer to Euro-Atlantic
structures.
Croatia, Albania and Macedonia in May signed the so-called Adriatic
Charter with the assistance of the United States.
Antunovic, Buckovski and their Albanian counterpart Pandeli Majko
yesterday signed a joint declaration. With the declaration, which
is part of the Adriatic Charter, the three countries expressed
readiness to cooperate in exchanging intelligence data to promote
border security and diminish the threat of terrorism and organised
crime, as well as to participate in NATO's peace and conflict-
prevention operations.
Antunovic, who is on a two-day visit to Albania, will also meet
Albanian President Alfred Moisiu.
