role of universities in the sustainable development of rural areas
in Croatia ended on the northern Adriatic island of Losinj on

The event was organised by the University of Zagreb, the University
of Georgia at Athens and the International Anthropology Centre from
Motovun, and was sponsored by the US Embassy and the Ministry of
Science and Technology.
The aim of the symposium was to encourage universities to actively
support the sustainable development of rural areas in Croatia by
creating a strategy and working out programmes for rural
development.
