Bosnia's Minister for Human Rights and Refugees, Mirsad Kebo, the
head of the ICRC Office, Werner Kaspar, and representatives of the
entities' commissions for missing persons signed an agreement on
so-called ante mortem data about missing persons in Sarajevo on
Wednesday.
Kebo recalled that Bosnia-Herzegovina was still trying to trace
almost 17,000 citizens and voiced hope the agreement would
contribute to efforts to shed light on their fate.
Matching post mortem and ante mortem data is a standard
identification procedure carried out along with DNA analysis,
Kaspar said, hoping that this method would speed up the search for
missing persons.
