PRISTINA, Sept 2 (Hina) - The National Front for Uniting Albanians, that includes an illegal organisation which calls itself the Albanian National Army (ANA), issued an order for the urgent mobilisation and deployment of several units
on positions in border areas in the Kumanovo region, northern Macedonia, on Tuesday.

mobilisation and deployment of several units on positions in border
areas in the Kumanovo region, northern Macedonia, on Tuesday. #L#
The ANA headquarters on Monday issued a 24-hour ultimatum to the
Macedonian government to withdraw its army and police from northern
Macedonia, where ethnic Albanians make up a majority of the
population. According to a statement which ANA issued on its web
site, the ultimatum started at 4 pm yesterday.
Strong Macedonian police forces have arrived in the Kumanovo area.
They are concentrated around the village of Vaksnice where a group
of Avdyl Jakupi is believed to be hiding. According to police, the
group led by Jakupi, who is also known as Commander Cakala, includes
nearly 30 armed men.
