ZAGREB, Sept 1 (Hina) - Croatia expresses great concern over and bitterness at the latest wave of violence in Iraq, Croatia's foreign ministry said in a press release on Monday. The developments came to a head last week when a
terrorist attack was carried out in Najaf, the holy city of Iraqi Shi'ites, only ten days after an attack on the UN mission's headquarters in Baghdad.

Croatia most strongly condemns the Najaf incident and extends
condolences to the families of innocent victims, the ministry
said.
Zagreb supports the Iraqi people and the international community in
their efforts to set up a stable, safe and democratic Iraq.
