The statement cites UN Secretary General Kofi Annan who said that
nothing could justify this act of unprovoked and deadly violence
against people who had gone to Iraq to help the Iraqi people to
regain independence and sovereignty and rebuild their country as
soon as possible, under the leadership they choose.
UN agencies in Croatia will open a book of condolence at the Human
Rights Centre in downtown Zagreb tomorrow.
