The ministry said in a statement on Thursday that its inspectors had
found doctors providing medical assistance in hotels and
outpatient clinics without the necessary licences and in
conditions dangerous to health.
It said that general practitioners had been found working in
specialist clinics in violation of the Health Care Act.
Limited liability companies, including hotels and other tourism
facilities, may register with the Health Ministry to provide their
guests with health care in appropriate rooms in accordance with the
law. Those not registered with the ministry will be banned from
operating.
The statement said that the purpose of inspections was to protect
the health of citizens and tourists vacationing in Croatia.
