At its first session after the summer recess on Thursday, the
government is expected to hear reports on the progress of
implementation of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement with
the EU and the responses to the European Commission questionnaire.
Ninety-two percent of the questions have already been answered.
After all state administration bodies answer their sections of
questions from the questionnaire, the responses will be revised and
reviewed twice by a special group of experts.
The government should receive the whole set of answers on September
26.
European Commission President Romano Prodi submitted the
questionnaire on July 10. The usual deadline for responding to the
questionnaire is three months, so that the responses are expected
to be sent to Brussels by October 10.
