PULA, July 19 (Hina) - Croatian President Stjepan Mesic said on Saturday retired general Mirko Norac's decision to be interviewed by investigators from the Hague war crimes tribunal for the former Yugoslavia was "correct".

"He has to answer the questions the tribunal will put, and it is up
to him to explain every situation he has been in," Mesic told
reporters at Pula's airport after seeing off Macedonian President
Boris Trajkovski, who was on a visit to Croatia.
The Hague tribunal has requested to interview Norac as a suspect in
connection with his activities in the Medak Pocket and Storm
liberation operations.
