The two men, age 20 and 18, attempted to change about twenty forged
20-euro notes into Croatian kunas at an exchange office in Rovinj
last Sunday, police told a press conference on Thursday.
When the owner of the exchange office realised that the notes were
fake, the men ran away. They were captured three days later in the
Istrian town of Vodnjan with 41 counterfeit 20-euro notes in their
possession.
The two were taken to the County Court Remand Centre in Pula.
