ZAGREB, Aug 12 (Hina) - Croatian dailies wrote in their Wednesday issues that 70 Dinamo Zagreb soccer fans were deported from Ukraine because they provoked a fight in a cafe in Kiev. #L# Dinamo Zagreb played Dinamo Kiev on Tuesday evening in Kiev. The hosts won 3:1. A total of 70 soccer fans headed to Kiev on a bus to see the game. They, however, left the country without seeing it because the incident took place before the game started. According to the dailies Vecernji List, Sportske Novosti and Jutarnji List, the incident took place early Tuesday morning, at about 2.50 AM in a coffee house in Kiev. According to a report by Kiev police, of which Croatian Ambassador to Russia Mario Mikolic informed the Croatian dailies, Zagreb soccer fans disturbed public peace and order and provoked a fight. Nobody was injured and material damage amounts to US$2,000. Croatian soccer fans were ready to pay for it. Some 30 fans took part in the incident and 10 spent the night in custody. Considering that all 70 fans arrived in Ukraine with a group visa, they were all deported from the country. According to Vecernji List, the reason why the fight started was an attempt of Ukrainian waiters to charge the Croatian fans twice the actual price of drinks. Some of the fans claim that police confiscated their cellular phones and money. (hina) it
