SIRT, Libya, Aug 12 (Hina) - Croatian President Stjepan Mesic, currently on a five-day official visit to Libya, on Tuesday visited "the Great River", a complex of 5,000km-long water pipelines and reservoirs supplying the country's
north with water from desert oases in the far south.

Earlier on Tuesday, Mesic laid a wreath at the monument to the
Libyans killed in the struggle against the Italian colonisation.
The Croatian delegation is scheduled to leave Sirt for the capital
Tripoli on Wednesday, when Mesic will attend a meeting of Libyan and
Croatian business people and open the Croatian embassy.
