ZAGREB, Aug 8 (Hina) - At the end of July, 314,228 people were registered with the Croatian Employment Bureau (HZZ), which is 5,472 people more than this June and 68,550 less than in July 2002, the HZZ stated on Friday.

Unemployment has decreased in all counties in relation to last
year's July, and the biggest decrease has been reported in Istria
County (40.5%), Krapina-Zagorje County (27.7%) and Zagreb County
(26.9%).
A total of 27,433 people have been removed from the HZZ register, of
whom 16,259 have found employment. Others have been removed because
they did not report regularly with the Bureau, disregarded its
regulations and were not active enough in looking for employment.
The number of newly-created jobs is higher than the number of closed
ones, which is evidenced by information that 16,259 people found
employment and 8,604 lost their jobs in July, the HZZ said.
