Presenting the stand of her party on the matter, HSS spokeswoman
Marijana Petir said on Thursday that army could not be sent outside
Croatian borders without the parliament's consent, under the
Constitution.
The deployment of Croatian soldiers in Iraq is also contrary to a
previous political decision of Croatian authorities under which
Croatian soldiers would take part only in missions approved by the
UN Security Council, Petir said.
