ZAGREB, July 21 (Hina) - The Croatian Railways (HZ) company and Djuro Djakovic Holding on Monday signed two contracts, worth 36 million euros, on the renovation of 100 cargo carriages and delivery of 320 new ones. On this occasion,
the first renovated air-conditioned carriage for the transport of passengers, which is part of a 327.7 million kuna programme for the reconstruction of 47 carriages, was delivered to the HZ.

Djuro Djakovic Holding on Monday signed two contracts, worth 36
million euros, on the renovation of 100 cargo carriages and
delivery of 320 new ones. On this occasion, the first renovated air-
conditioned carriage for the transport of passengers, which is part
of a 327.7 million kuna programme for the reconstruction of 47

Premier Ivica Racan, who attended the signing of deals between the
two Croatian companies, announced plans for the construction of
fast railways after the completion of the overhauling of existing
railway tracks.
Also on Monday, Djuro Djakovic and the Zagreb-based manufacturing
plant for the construction of carriages Gredelj signed a contract,
worth 53.7 million kuna, for the construction of parts of carriages
which are going to be built.
