Parliament did a big job by adopting those laws given that a large
part of them have been adjusted to EU regulations, Vidovic said,
adding that amendments had yet to be made to the State Inspectorate
Act.
The Labour Act has facilitated the resolving of the most important
issue in Croatia -- unemployment -- while great progress has been
made with other laws in the protection of workers and the prevention
of discrimination, Vidovic said.
The minister also announced the launching of projects aimed at
assisting the reorganisation of companies. Seventy-three
companies have already signed up for EUR3 million of assistance
form the CARDS programme.
