"We must be a destination of interest to Europe, and without roads we won't be able to join Euro-Atlantic integration processes," Mesic told a formal session of the town council, which met to mark the day of the town's patron saint, St Elias. The president said that the roads Croatia was now building should have been built 30 years ago.
