managed to ensure a quorum of 76 MPs and parliament resumed its work by debating a series of laws referring to the adjustment of Croatia's legislation to EU standards.
ZAGREB, July 16 (Hina) - After the opposition walked out of a
session on Wednesday, protesting against the dismissal of their
demand that a debate on the privatisation of the oil company INA be
held today, the parliamentary majority managed to ensure a quorum
of 76 MPs and parliament resumed its work by debating a series of
laws referring to the adjustment of Croatia's legislation to EU
standards. #L#
Parliament President Zlatko Tomcic said parliament could end the
34th session on Thursday afternoon by voting on previously
discussed items from the agenda.
The government will request of parliament on Thursday to start the
35th extraordinary session on Friday and discuss the appointment of
the environmental protection minister and the privatisation of
INA.
Parliament should end the spring-summer session on Friday, Tomcic
said.
