VIENNA, July 10 (Hina) - At a session of the OSCE Permanent Council in Vienna on Thursday, five southeast European countries -- Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, and Serbia and Montenegro -- welcomed Italy's announcement that one of the priorities during its term of EU presidency would be strengthening cooperation with countries of southeast Europe.
VIENNA, July 10 (Hina) - At a session of the OSCE Permanent Council in Vienna on Thursday, five southeast European countries -- Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, and Serbia and Montenegro -- welcomed Italy's announcement that one of the priorities during its term of EU presidency would be strengthening cooperation with countries of southeast Europe. #L# The head of the Macedonian delegation, Aleksandar Tavciovski, read out a joint statement of the five countries expressing satisfaction with "the positive trend initiated by Greece." "Regional cooperation and good neighbourly relations have proved important to our countries on their path of integration into EU structures," Tavciovski said. The Macedonian representative said that the countries in the region supported the efforts of Croatia, which was the first of them to file an application for EU membership.
