High Representative Paddy Ashdown told reporters in Sarajevo that
this decision was a part of measures which the international
community was taking to bring the wanted war criminals to justice.
It is therefore important to prevent those who harbour criminals
from helping them any longer, the Briton added.
All the 14 persons whose bank accounts are blocked are of Serb
descent and are suspected of harbouring war-time Bosnian Serb
leader Radovan Karadzic. The list includes Karadzic's wife
Ljiljana, daughter Sonja, son Aleksandar and brother Luka.
